Swim with the Whale Sharks

Donsol has carved a name for itself as the Whaleshark (Butanding) Capital of the World. Every year, from December to June, the gentle giants of the sea flock to this coastal town to return to their breeding waters. On these months, visitors can swim along with the butanding, making for an exciting marine adventure.

Donsol offers other exciting activities as well: firefly-watching at twilight as fireflies light up the banks of the Ogod River, hang-gliding from Catundolan Point, swimming at the basin of Tuba Falls and climbing the 309 steps to the Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel. |
